Covid-19 started in the middle of 2020 and since then schools have been closed, for most of the students this new type of learning can be difficult and stressful but on the other side, for some students like this type of learning because it can be relaxing and convenient.
With time, online education can become more difficult for some students in today's society, some of the difficulties that today face can be physical and mentally straining.
Gizzy Pinon, a Yerba Buena highschool student has experienced some of these positives and negatives reactions about online education. “l just recently noticed that my back kind of hurts when l sit for too long and my eyes as well”, Gizzy Pinon said.
Many students, including myself, are experiencing some disadvantages about online schooling, some disadvantages can bring physical and mental trauma.
We all know that sitting for too long and not using a proper chair or staring at a screen for too long may cause our body to have some type of reaction for example sitting for long periods, may cause back issues and discomfort, same with our eyes.

According to the article web MD the blue light of our computer/ phone screen can be linked to problems like blurry vision, redness, dry eyes and more, “ My eyes really hurt at the end of almost every class period”, Gizzy Pinon said.
Most teachers don't provide any type of “break”, so that students can have 5 minutes or more to relax, stretch or even drink water. “No, my teachers don't provide any source of break,” Gizzy Pinon said.
In my experience it is really hard to concentrate because I'm usually sitting staring at the screen for more than 4 hours and that causes my eyes to be dry or hurt and back hurting, other students feel the same way,“ I don't know for how many hours do I sit but I normally sit for 5 hours per day or even more plus it depends on my classes” Gizzy Said
If a student is experiencing these types of side effects, it is really hard for them to concentrate, “ yes usually it is really hard to concentrate because you're not fully into the class or even paying attention to it” Gizzy pinon said. These side effects can affect them by not being able to pay attention in class.
Some types of exercises can help this situation, for example taking a walk outside for a bit during lunch or break, stepping away from your computer/ phone, or even just standing up for a bit, this type of exercise may help your concentration and feel relaxed.
These side effects may inherit your ability to learn, but this can not stop you from trying to make it easier on yourself, if you can try to do some exercises between your classes or try to step aways from the screen.
