You smell that? “Sniff” “sniff” something burning, oh that’s just California burning again.
Ever since I was a kid I loved living in California, I always heard good things about it and how everyone wanted to come here for vacation because of how beautiful the beaches and cities are to visit. Over the years as a kid I started to dislike LA and a handful of places but I didn’t know why. I think subconsciously I’ve been seeing it but didn’t understand until this year. California is a hot mess of fires, homeless people, high cost of living, tech companies taking over and too many people, etc.
Let me explain, there is no surprise that CA is a high place of living and because of that many people can’t afford a house or a place to live causing them to go homeless or they have no family and are sick so they can’t work and live on the streets etc. Graham Stephan said “It’s also incredibly unfortunate that homeless and crime has been a major problem of L.A for as long as they been alive although in the last few years it’s taken a drastically different turn, it’s been nearly impossible to walk down the streets without stepping past drug usage tents, trash and people who are not treated appropriately.”
Ben Shapiro a American conservative political commentator, media host, and attorney. made a really good point and that’s “LA is not going to make it livable for me to allow my children to play outside of our front gate without adult supervision between them allowing the streets to become incredibly dirty and dangerous because here is the reality if I let my kids walk around the neighborhood they will stumble across two open needles”. Now don’t take this the wrong way because we are not the victim here, the real victims here are the people on the streets, but it sucks to see the lack of care for the mentally ill or the people sleeping on the sidewalks with nothing to turn to, and add bad air to the mix with fire and you really going to have a hard time living here.
