Growing up with a family that’s creative, and friends that support the art you do is what happened to YB student Delilah Rodrigeuz. She has been very grateful for that opportunity to have happened to her.
The story starts off with me asking her what type of art she likes? And she answered that”I like Drawing, painting, and spray painting, mostly um but I like sculpting as well”
Then I followed up with saying what type of art she like to do and she says “ the type of art i like to do is umm probably paintings, I like to see a lot of paintings because my family, were a very creative family.I see my brother paint and my mom paint, she just recently did this big painting um and just honestly it's beautiful".
Then I asked her if she saw the mural of chicano culture next to story road that was painted over and she answered by saying " I was really disappointed about that, it was umm a really famous painting in chicano culture then i commented by saying that “ i am really disappointed that they took it down, i always loved when i sometimes pass by it and see its beautiful colors and amazing people who represent the painting.”
Then she commented by saying that “ I know like why, why would they do that if it's part of San Jose.” Then I asked her what were the best moments spent with your friends and she said” the best moment spent with my friends would probably be with us doing things that we weren’t supposed to do.
