Makeup, skin care, beauty, and fashion has always been a huge interest of mine! Makeup became one of my biggest interests when I turned 13.
I remember the first products I ever bought were from the flea market as well as used makeup products from my mom. Growing up I got better, better, and even better with my makeup skills.
I would always get compliments about my makeup and my skin. As that love for makeup grew, I discovered my interest in lashing as well. The confidence lashes would give to me was such a great feeling because I felt so pretty.
Getting my eyelash extension became an obsession and I was so inspired by my lash technician. The love and the way she would boost her clients confidence was such a great feeling. She never failed to make us feel pretty by reposting, retweeting, and talking about how much she cared about us feeling happy with our lashes.
As months pass by I completely stopped doing my makeup just due to having no type of motivation to get ready, or even sometimes I would tell myself I didn't need it and that I am pretty no matter what.
As months passed by, I was so indecisive about the weather I wanted to go training to become a lash technician. Having so much stress with school and work was so much but no one encouraged me but my lash technician. I knew if i wanted to do something to go for it because I truly enjoy it and at the end of the day it would be worth it.
As months pass by I would mention it to my parents. My mom told me she would support me and she wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be stressed with it and have school. Nothing at the moment stopped me because I was like I'm going to go for it.
As November came, I finally got certified as a lash tech. I felt like nobody truly understood how happy and full of excitement I was. I ordered so many of my materials and equipment months back just because I was so anxious for the day to come. One of the best feelings was that I knew with time passing by I wouldn't have to be working so much at my job getting paid 15 an hour.
When I posted it on my social media I got endless love and support from my friends and family saying “ congrats on your lash journey “ or “ I can't wait to make an appointment with me “ that made me feel so loved.
As of December, I finally started booking appointments. I have bought so many other equipment like my ring light, my lashing bed, room decors, etc. if you want to make your dream a reality don't ever hesitate because at the end of the day it will be an achievement and you can grow from it.
