Teaching for the first year at YB was kind of scary for Ms. Martin. A recent graduate jumping to San Jose their first year of teaching.
Ms.Martin: “ I have been teaching since August. It is my first year teaching and I am really enjoying it so far.”
Her biggest accomplishment was finishing college during a pandemic and was very proud when she moved to San Jose. It has been hard for her but has biggest inspiration
Ms.Martin: “The most important figure in my life would be my mom or my brother. I look up to both for inspiration and they have each left their own impact in my life. I go to my brother for advice and I go to my mom if I had a bad day and I need some words of inspiration.”
The subject she teaches is math 2 algebra and basic study skills.
Ms.Martin: “My favorite part of working part of working is helping my student to reach their learning goal and working with an amazing and hard working special education department.”
The high school she goes to is Bainbridge high school on Bainbridge island Washington near Seattle.
Ms.Martin: “I went to the University of Washington in Seattle. I studied International Relations with a focus in Human Rights and International Development.”
She is still looking forward to learning more about teaching and getting to know the layout of the school. After all, even if she is a teacher, she is still learning to this day.
For the Warrior times, I am Darren Pen.
