Your Future Awaits

Once high school ends many students don't have things planned out for them or they just don't know what to do so they go out enjoying their freedom from school. Not this student though. Daniela Ruiz is a senior currently attending Yerba Buena High School has the start of her future planned out. She has goals she plans on achieving of where to attend college and what she wants to do after college that will help her follow her dreams such as making her business.

Ruiz has always loved school and one of the reasons why she likes it is because she felt a sense of belonging and connection in the school community.

 “It's just a school where you can feel like there's a community, where you can feel at home or where you can feel free to ask anyone for help or anything.” said Ruiz.

Ruiz still plans to attend school after graduating and her goal is to make it into San Jose State University. She plans to go there because it is a place close to home so she can still be connected with her family. Her mom is one of her biggest inspirations that encourages her to continue school and keep on going to reach her goals so she can make it in life.  Her mom has always been there to support her and been by her side when she needed her. She will continue to support Ruiz with her choices as long as they are beneficial for her and will help her.

Ruiz has thought about majoring in business. She wants to learn about how you could have one or how things work for a business and what you can do with a business major. 

“There's many different things you can do with a business major so i think it would be the best one and the one that i relate to most but i still need to work on a lot of things.” said Ruiz. 

She wants to work on her math skills because in business you are going to be working with lots of numbers and she claims that she is not the best at math as of right now so it's her priority to get the hang of it so she can be prepared for what she is going to learn.

Doing a business major could be anything. Either starting a business or joining one or learning the meaning of businesses. She dreams that one day she can have her own business once she gets older and has the college degrees that would help her achieve that goal because she believes it would be nice to have. Her dream would be to have a small boutique business where she can sell things people would be attracted to in the future.

Her plans for the future after finishing college are still in the process but she has a small idea so far of what she is going to do. She plans to find a job that is related to what her major was so it's easier for her and it could get her a really good job. She also plans to move somewhere out of San Jose one day.There could be a ton of goals Ruiz has for herself and everyone wants to achieve their goals to succeed in life or just to have fun.

The people who will help Ruiz with these goals would be her mom and her friends. Both inspire and encourage her to do anything and support her for the decisions she makes and she feels like they really do help her out with figuring out her future.
