Isabella Pham, a sophomore at Yerba Buena high school, Pham is very close to her family. As the middle child, Pham claims that she got closer to her family by spending more quality time with them and not shutting them out.
Pham’s two sisters, one older and one younger are named Amanda and Sarah. Pham says that she definitely got close with her sister during covid but more closer to the end of covid. The reason of this is because Pham’s mental health during that time was declining rapidly and in Pham’s words
“My mental health during covid was horrible like words can express how bad I felt”. Pham’s sisters saw this and encouraged Pham to go out and do a lot of activities with them. Such as going out to eat and doing home workouts together.
Pham’s sisters weren’t the only ones who helped her during this rough patch in her life. Her mom also saw how sad she was and encouraged/forced her to go out and have fun. Pham says that since her mom and sisters forced her to go out it made her start to feel better mentally.
Pham’s sisters and her have gotten close to each other helping her through a breakup, Pham’s older sister Amanda and her got close by spending quality time together doing things such as going shopping, venting to each other and going out to eat together.
After high school Pham wants to be a pediatrician, she enjoys being around young children since growing up she was around children a lot because of her babysitting job.
Pham says “ I always enjoyed being around kids because I started babysitting at nine or ten years old”. Outside of Pham’s old babysitting job she hangs out with her baby cousin. Pham says “ I took my baby cousin swimming and I would hold him above water”. Pham swimming and spending time with her baby cousins is something she enjoys
Pham enjoyed swimming with her baby cousin since swimming was always a passion of hers. Although Pham loves swimming she said that she would never pursue it since she doesn't like being competitive. “ I love swimming but.. I wouldn’t pursue it or join any swimming sport because of the competitiveness” (Pham).
