What makes a person decide that they want to improve themselves?
Maybe they aren’t happy with what they are right now or how they are doing.
There was a person that decided that they weren’t satisfied with what they are right now. Naason Arce was this person, and he took this to the next level. Just a regular boy who decided to improve himself in order to adapt better to the things he is interested in, soccer and football.
Working out to physically get better at playing sports, and just overall improving his confidence on his looks and strength. This is just one of the few basic ways he used to help improve himself.
A passion Arce has had since he was around 9 years old was soccer. It was his favorite sport, overpowering any other sport he came upon at the time. It was such a simple sport but so complex when you take a look at the rules and such.
Arce: Soccer has always been my favorite, it was always been my #1.
Soccer has always been his favorite, and most played sport. To Arce, there was no reason not to play soccer. No matter how hard you try to separate him from soccer, it would never happen as soccer to him is like two rings from a chain connected together, Sturdy, and strong.
During his lunches, he would bring his ball and start kicking around the soccer ball trying to score a few points with his friends. It’s like everytime Arce kicks that ball, his passion for soccer keeps growing.
Arce: I sticked with soccer because it’s really fun and it’s a lot of team chemistry involved.
Although he always thought soccer would be his one and only sport, It definitely wasn’t because football has shined its light on him. For once, another sport other than soccer has gotten to Arce.
It was surprising that he managed to open up to a completely different sport from soccer. Well, the reason why he opened up to football was because he decided to join the YB football team. It was definitely unexpected due to his inexperience in football throughout his life, though he was able to adapt quickly and get better.
Arce actually didn’t join the football team for no reason. He slowly managed to learn how to play football and learned all the rules from his teammates and coach. During the superbowl, he was inspired by the players skills and moves and decided to try himself.
Arce: I was mainly interested in football too because one of the points of why I joined football was because when I saw the superbowl it looked fun.
There was another factor that made him decide to join the football team too. It was his cousin. He thought that it would be so much more fun just playing some football with his cousin on his team too.
Arce: What made me decide to join in on the football team was my cousin cause I liked the idea of playing alongside with him and mainly to get some conditioning in.
Playing soccer, football, and working out has all helped Arce in many ways, but out of all of them, working out has had the most positive effect on him. His workouts have helped him get stronger and a lot more fit so that he can really adapt with any sport he plays at this point.
Working out has changed how he feels about himself. It improves his overall physique and gives him lots of confidence in himself as a person. Just declaring that you’re going to work out isn’t as easy as you think. Luckily, Arce has managed to be very consistent throughout the years and has gained a physique that he is proud of.
Even though he is really strong, everybody still has goals that they haven’t yet been able to beat.
Arce: Right now my goal in working out is hitting 225 in bench and just getting faster.
Working out has allowed Arce to adapt to a large variety of different sports including some sports like basketball, which is a pretty different change from soccer, his go-to sport. Playing different types of sports has been easier by the day for him to enjoy and has allowed him to try out the vast amount of other sports in the world.
Arce: I want to be faster and stronger and working out has helped me a lot because it let me play another sport.
Arce has been doing so many things in his high school life that you would probably forget about how he would be doing academically. Overall, it has been pretty hard for him to manage both football practice and his school grades.
Arce: I would say that it has kind of affected me negatively because I have less time to do homework.
All that really matters is that Arce has managed to enjoy his highschool life without too much stress by improving himself to be able to enjoy life even just a little bit more.
