When he was younger, Arce always had a strong bond with family. His cousins were constantly there for him as if they were brothers, Josue and Nathaniel were two cousins of his, and sure they may have gotten into trouble but despite that they still stuck together helping each other.

 And when asked about who he felt closest to 

“but the one I know the most is them, closest Josue” 

Recently, Arce moved to California, Here he was introduced to the High school football team by his cousin Josue.after telling him

“oh yeah football it might be too late but you can join next year!“ 

Naason felt determined to work out and continued to. The sheer motivation to excel caused him to get in shape and by the time trails came around by Fall he made a perfect fit not just by athleticism but also through connection.

“they felt like my second family, and it just helped” 

The bond Naason had with his teammates and the way they could help each other out in the game made him connect with them as if they were well a second family

The year before this interview took place the Yerba Buena Football team was hit with a bad season, A season that should’ve made him give up, Teammates believed that the seniors weren’t disciplined enough considering them slackers, Less players appeared at practice only around 12 showed up. Now today you have to bring notes that mark your absence so this isn’t as much of a problem

But despite the season just not being as dedicated and the football team barely being attendant 

Naason pushed through by continuing to play and try because even if his team was falling behind he still felt like he had to be there for them

“last year was a bad season, but I love the football team”

“but this year we’re gonna be trying to practice harder”

After last season's failed attempt a new journey starts now. New players have been getting into the football game. Now they have 30 players more than doubling last year's count.Coaches trying to get the players to improve on certain skills and to see hope the next day.
