Unbreakable Bonds

Kyle Jasmin is a 10th grader here at Yerba Buena High School. Kyle lives with his mom, dad, and his 3 sisters. He mentions how he enjoys being with family.

For Jasmin it's important to have a good bond with all his family members because he said that you’re always gonna be with them, living with them, and it would  be bad to not have a good relationship.

Jasmin says how he has a good relationship with all his sisters and mom because they stay around each other and they talk and say whatever is on their mind.

He is closest to his older sister because she is always the one he goes to for advice or for when he needs help with homework.

One of his favorite childhood memories with his family is when he was 7 he remembers taking a trip to the Philippines where there were a lot of nice views. 

Kyle:“When we went to the Philippines and we went to this beach and the view was nice and we also had some barbecue, I think I was like 7”.

One memorable thing was seeing his cousins. He says that since it's kind of far it was nice seeing them and there's also a lot of animals.

Even though he enjoys being with family he feels the closest to his father. Jasmine and his dad play a lot of video games together, they also enjoy the same type of music.

Playing video games helps Jasmine relax and there's nothing better than to do it than with his father.

One of his favorite games  to play with his dad is call of duty mobile and he enjoys it because they  play in teams together.

One of Jasmine's favorite artists is Prince. He shares a favorite memory he has with his dad when they went on a trip and they had no signal so his dad decided to put his CD on, he says that it was all about Prince.

While his dad works at 5 and it's kind  of hard to spend time with him, his dad doesn't let that  stop him from making sure his son is doing okay. 

Kyle:“I guess we just talk a lot and then he's also very worried about me so like almost everyday when I come home at least once a week he asks like am I having any trouble? Is anybody bullying me?”

He shares a piece of advice for those who don't have a good relationship with their fathers and says to try to fix because at the end of the day he is the man that brought you into this life and he's someone that is always gonna be there for you no matter what,  and he is someone you can always talk to.

Kyle:“One piece of advice I would say if you're not on good terms with your dad I would say try to be because he's the one that brought you into this life and he was always there when you needed it, maybe and he's also somebody you can always talk to.”
