Growing up, Linh Tran's parents always had high expectations of her. Wanting her to do the best she could with what she has, she decided being in the medical field was something she wanted to pursue.
“I feel like I've always wanted to be a dentist or orthodontist, but I don't know yet. Anything in the medical field would make me happy.”
Seeing medical workers in their element, helping and attending to people really motivated Tran to want to do the same.
Becoming a worker in the medical field is definitely not going to be easy but with the inspiration from her father, it would help a lot in her journey.
“I feel like my dad inspires me because he works hard no matter what, even though he’s feeling tired or when he’s feeling sick or down, he still shows up to work early in the mornings and still works hard.”
Her father is her biggest inspiration to work hard and earn her way into the medical field.
Wanting to be an orthodontist is difficult but it seemed to have caught Tran’s eye, though she does seem a bit iffy about it because of how some peoples teeth are.
“I always wanted to become an orthodontist for a couple of years but then I started to learn that people have really bad teeth and I don't know if I want to do that anymore.”
Being a part of the medical field caught her interest but what really put it into her head was her parents’ high expectations of her.
“I think it's mostly the pay. I feel like it's also because my parents want me to do the most with what I got so it just got put into my head so I started to really want to do it.”
